Description

Ink and Water is a meditative painting class that combines the fluidity of watercolor with the precision of ink. You'll begin by creating expressive watercolor paintings, then return with a  fine-line permanent  pen to add intricate linework, filling negative spaces and bringing depth to your piece. The result is a uniquely personal artwork where color and pattern dance together—a slow, contemplative process that  celebrates both spontaneity and intention.

Collected Pages, A Handmade Journal Workshop

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm - $65 per person

Available Dates: July 15 & 29 and August 5

No experience is necessary. All materials are provided, though participants are encouraged to bring personal photographs, letters, fabric scraps, or treasured paper items they may wish to incorporate.

Description

Step into the unique and satisfying world of layered paper, gathered fragments, and handmade storytelling.

In this workshop, sometimes referred to as “Junk Journaling” we’ll create richly textured journals using vintage papers, handwritten notes, old book pages, fabric scraps, stitching, watercolor, photographs, stamps, and found ephemera. Each journal becomes a deeply personal collection of memories, inspiration, and creative exploration — no two are ever alike.

Participants will learn simple binding techniques, page layering, composition, pocket-making, and decorative details while working with an abundant selection of curated materials. Whether you’re a writer, artist, collector, or simply someone who loves beautiful old paper, this class invites you to create intuitively and imperfectly.

No experience is necessary. All materials are provided, though participants are encouraged to bring personal photographs, letters, fabric scraps, or treasured paper items they may wish to incorporate.

Expect a relaxed, welcoming studio atmosphere filled with paper, texture, conversation, tea, and inspiration.
